Baden-Powell Lake

As a group of Scouts, we felt it necessary to make the trip to Baden-Powell Lake, named after the organization's founder, Lord Robert Baden-Powell.

To get there, we left our campsite at Littledoe Lake around 9:00 am, heading for nearby Bluejay Lake. The entrance to Bluejay Lake was completely blocked by a beaver dam, but once we found a way around it, (over it on the way back) we were fine.

At the end of Bluejay lake was a muddy 405 m portage to Vanishing Pond which leads through many reeds and other aquatic plants to Baden-Powell Lake. We signed the log book, took our 'I signed the log book at Baden-Powell Lake' magnets, and headed back to Littledoe Lake. In all, even with the mud, it was worth it!
