Living over in Cyprus, I do know the area of Protaras and Ayia Napa very well and I do know where to go when it comes to the beach. One of my favourite beaches in the area of Protaras is Pernera Beach.
Compared to Nissi Beach in Ayia Napa and Fig Tree Bay in the centre of Protaras, Pernera Beach is small, hasn't got as many people, and you can always find a spot on the beach.
In most beaches is Cyprus, you have to pay to get a sun bed and beach umbrella (prices may vary in different beaches),but if you don’t want to have a sun bed, it is free of charge.
Arrive there early, so you can enjoy the peace of the beach and, if you want, leave late so that you can see the sun go down. When you leave late from that beach you can also relax and you can hit the bars of Protaras and Ayia Napa for late-night fun.
