Very Nice Animal/Theme Park!

Very Nice Animal/Theme Park!

I have worked at several theme parks and animal parks, and I was very pleased with Wild Adventures. One always has to wonder if mixing roller coasters and wild beasts is a good idea, but they do it well here. I took my two-year-old boy, and there was plenty for him to do. The park has a good number of attractions for all ages, and the animal exhibits are good sized. We got to feed a giraffe (for an extra $3), which was fun and made for some good photos! The elephant exhibit had a large, natural pool in which an elephant was wallowing to her heart's content! I've never seen an elephant have so much fun at a zoo!

We went on a Friday in April. (The park is only open Fri, Sat, Sun that time of year.) Everyone seemed to arrive right when we did, at 10AM, opening time, and there were quite a few school groups, but we did almost no waiting in line.

Wild Adventures

It is still growing but still fairly large. Right now, if you buy one-day admission, you can get a second day free. It has to be used within six days. Adults $34.95 and children (3-9) and seniors 55+ $28.95. There are eight roller coasters and five water rides. My recommendation for each: The Boomerang and the Tasmanian River Rapids. Most big rides require you to be 42" to ride. There is wildlife throughout the park to look at as well.

Season passes are good until 12/31/2003. They cost $54.95, and the parking pass is $25 for the year. They have Night Magic, a 3-D laser and fireworks show, all year long. There are special events during Halloween and Christmas.

Look out Florida Theme Parks! Wild Adventures is growing by leaps and bounds! Each season brings new attractions. This family owned theme park is now competing with the big boys. Attractions include exotic animals, amusement rides and concerts.

One price covers the days entertainment. On my last visit parking was still free. There are 44 rides, hundreds of wild animals and always great shows and concerts. Several gift shops and eateries are available. The park is focused on family entertainment for all ages.
