One of the best ways to get a lay of the land is through a History of French Lick Tour. Relax in the air-conditioned bus as your tour guide fills you in on the town's history. From its beginnings as a French trading post, to the casino and sulfur spring spa resorts that drew famous figures like Joe Louis, Irving Berlin and Al Capone to French Lick.
